ASSA, established of 8th August 1998 at Shillong. It was name as Sadri Sahitya Sabha but later in 1999at Tezpur Janata Bhawan its name changed to Adivasi Sahitya Sabha:ASSAM Topno is a visionary leader, writer, and community organizer dedicated to preserving and promoting Adivasi culture, literature, and identity in Assam. As the President of the Adivasi Sahitya Sabha Assam, he has worked tirelessly to build platforms where Adivasi voices can be heard, celebrated, and documented for future generations. His leadership is rooted in decades of service to the community, beginning with his early involvement in student and youth organizations and extending to his role in founding key institutions such as AASAA, PAJHRA, and multilingual education initiatives.

A passionate advocate for cultural pride and historical truth, Wilfred combines scholarly rigor with grassroots mobilization. He has played a central role in peace accords, educational reforms, and literary movements that strengthen Adivasi identity and unity. His efforts emphasize bilingual and accessible documentation, ensuring that both academic circles and families in villages can engage with their heritage. Mr. Telesphore Induwar – Cultural Advocate, Golaghat

Mr. Telesphore Induwar is a respected figure from Golaghat, Assam, known for his dedication to the upliftment of Adivasi and Tea Tribe communities. With deep roots in the region, he has consistently worked to preserve cultural traditions while encouraging education and social awareness among younger generations. Israel Sanga is a committed voice for the Adivasi and Tea Tribe communities of Assam. Known for his grassroots engagement and cultural advocacy, he has dedicated his work to raising awareness about the identity, history, and challenges faced by Adivasi groups in the state. Through public platforms, social media, and community initiatives, Israel has consistently highlighted the importance of preserving indigenous heritage while addressing pressing issues such as education, representation, and social justice.

His outreach often bridges the gap between tradition and modernity, encouraging younger generations to take pride in their roots while equipping themselves for future opportunities. By sharing accessible narratives about the Oraon, Munda, Kharia, Santhal, and other communities, Israel has helped foster unity and cultural pride among diverse groups.

Mr. Joseph Minz – Founder General Secretary, AASAA

Mr. Joseph Minz of Doolahat is a pioneering leader and cultural advocate whose vision and dedication have left a lasting mark on the Adivasi movement in Assam. As the Founder General Secretary of the All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA), he played a crucial role in mobilizing youth and communities to assert their identity, rights, and heritage. His leadership was instrumental in shaping AASAA into a strong platform that united diverse Adivasi groups under a common cause, fostering solidarity and collective action across the state.
